[CAUT] recital hall size/ piano size

For that size hall a Steinway C or equivalent piano (Boesendorfer or even a good Petrof PII at 7'9") will be all the hall can  handle. If "LOUD" is the objective a Steinway D for sure, but if dynamic range is of any interest to your pianists they'll want to stay away from them.
