i have just installed one in an L but it has gone to the refinshers and will come back ready to string then.

Except the dense layer in the middle and at the bottom shoots 
the idea in the foot. The point of mine is the high friction 
and support at the top, and the low friction through the rest 
of the block

I'd be curious to hear from anyone who's tried one in a piano.
