Hello All,

Just a little shameless self promotion! This year at the Mid-Atlantic
Regional Convention I will be rolling out a new database design class
for CAUTs. Along with a comprehensive approach to database design, I
will introduce some new features to the Inventory & Workload
database. Also, below is a description of Chris Solliday's class on
Institutional Contracts. Pack up your muskets and tuning forks and
head to Valley Forge, PA on April 19!

Database, A Fundamental Institutional Tool
Donald McKechnie, RPT - Ithaca College - Southern Tier, NY: 1
Period

A comprehensive look at an essential tool in any institutional piano
maintenance program. A piano should be tracked from the time it
arrives until it leaves. In addition to tracking the inventory and
its maintenance, a system to keep track of your budget is also
necessary. Don will demonstrate his use of FileMaker Pro to track
these items. A key tool for a CAUT member is the CAUT Guidelines
Inventory & Workload Formula. Don will also demonstrate his latest
FileMaker version of the workload formula that allows easier and
faster data input. The concepts of database construction and use
presented in this class can be used in other database programs.

Institutional Contracts
Christopher Solliday, RPT - C. Solliday Piano Service - Lehigh
Valley, PA: 1 Period

Institutional contracts, how to get them and keep them. Everything
from negotiating with school districts, churches and large
instituions to living up to those promises is explored. Learn to land
that big account and expand your business in leaps and bounds.
