Here's a simple, low tech solution.

Find an old child's swing set.  Reinforce the cross bar with a heavy  
duty pipe.  Attach a chain the same length as the pipe to the corners  
using eye bolts.  Suspend a hoist from the center of the chain.  This  
puts the pipe/crossbar under compression and distributes the load.   
Add three seat belts, and you're all set.
