Yes...you need to keep it balanced though. If you're lucky (or
skillful), you can tilt it right into the elevator and not have to slide
it anywhere.

Do you leave it attached to the skid? (Short, 6' skid) We will have
plenty-O-help but it sounds a bit precarious!

Jim,

I've put grands on end in elevators a few times and found it fairly easy
to upend it onto doubled up pads. You can then slide it around by
pulling on the pad and pushing the piano simultaneously. If you have
enough manpower (3-4 regular people) this works pretty well.
