I have a pair of leather pants from the 70s.   I have a large piece I wrap around my SATIII, from which I remove pieces here and there as needed.   Kind of rough cowhide...

Hmmm, that’s interesting.  What sort of leather do you use?  Something not too thick, and quite flexible, I suppose.  Would it be something like the gasket leather I get for player pianos & reed organs?  Please elucidate.
