Ron, In my first meeting with the chair on Friday I made sure that point was heard loud and clear. However, since then he has been very supportive of me and instrumental in turning around the whole situation. I am planning to request that such a policy be put in writing so that, in fact, this scenario isn't played out again. As far as I'm concerned, without that basis of trust and respect at the basis of the relationship, there is no relationship.
