[CAUT] Hot Hide glue woes (??)

I don't find that to be inconsistent with what I see.  The glue I use is not
in the least clear.  There are different grades and different lots seem to
come darker or lighter but nothing has ever been clear.  The batch I
currently have comes in a bit darker than caramel, but lots in the past have
been very much caramel colored.

It's much darker. Sometimes even "cloudy".
Looks like melted caramel- the cubed kind that you buy in the grocery  
store.

I have worked with glues that seemed much "clearer" than the stuff I  
have been getting.
