Robin Blankenship At UA, the department charges anyone not associated with the university $1000 for the use of the Concert Hall, and $500 for the use of the Recital Hall. That money goes to the department. Plus, they have to hire a door manager, a stage manager, a technical/lighting manager, a backstage manager, and a housekeeper, all at $25 per hour, minimum 4 hours, all of whom get paid separately. (Checks made out to the individuals.) And If they want the piano tuned, they have to pay me my going rate. Special rent consideration is given to school and churches, but not the managers, etc. We have about a dozen or so of these events scheduled per year.
