I can see the sense in all of this as far as the back scale is concerned. But raising the bridge also changes the string bearing angle on the speaking side of the string... yes ?? Could someone please explain why that evidently is of no consequence here ? Cheers RicB ...... Building the bass bridge a few millimeters taller and putting in vertical (horizontal) hitches would likely help too. The hitch change would give you the best flexibility, and some prospecting room setting string bearing. Ron N
