[CAUT] re-stringing Steinway D: pinblock preparation

Thomas,

I restrung a 1965 Kawai 650 a few years ago with Lo-Torq(TM) tuning pins
from Pianotek. They worked great, and still feel good to tune. They
come in 3 1/2, 4, and 4 1/2 on the threaded portion, but are 2/0 size on
the top so your regular tip still fits well. I used the 3.5 size. They
are a little more pricey, but worth the expense IMHO. I used Arledge
bass strings, which I think were also worth the higher price.
