Hi Ed,

No, I try to keep my "strikes" at mezzopiano if possible. Oh, I used to be
a "hot dog" tuner and had a basher that weighed in at 7 oz. (about 200
grams to the rest of the world) but I realized one day (as a hammer shank
assembly went flying past my face, from a nearly new upright) that I was
over doing it a bit.

There are times that I do strike harder--but it is rare.
