Hi Bob, Thanks and yes, that's who it was. Wowie, it was a dynamite performance--one of those where the audience immediately leapt to its feet. I lost count, was it four curtain calls? Secretly, I was relieved that he didn't play an encore--that piano had been played REAL hard, and though I didn't hear anything amiss during the performance, I was wondering how the tuning (OK, the unisons) had fared. :-) I'll find out next week when I go back to tune for the next event. Speaking of tuning. This piano is a bear to tune--it really needs a new pinblock (popping pins, a multitude of pins riding the plate, etc). Fortunately, I heeded the advice to tune unisons as I go--what a difference it's made in stability!
