Eric,

It is so funny to read your email. I am having the exact same problem=20=

right now. Is your B from the sixties?

Key bed to center of the hammer flange center is right on 5 3/4" on=20
this dude. Wally Brooks said that was a little high, everything else=20
measured out pretty much to specs but I could not regulate without=20
burying the jacks in after touch. Also, I could only get 1 3/4" blow=20
distance if I lowered the shanks down to where they were on the=20
cushions. I didn't want to peel off cushion felt since I was afraid=20
that the shank would click on the rep. lever hight screw on a hard=20
blow.

Anyway, Wally sent me a set of nice new hammers on 17 mm shanks (center=20=

pin to center of knuckle) and it seems to be working very well. I am=20
literally putting the new parts on now so I'll have to get back to you=20=

on the end result.

Tell me this, when you regulate jack placement under the knuckle, where=20=

is it in the rep. window? Mine had to be too far forward to line up=20
with the knuckle molding. The 17 mm shanks seem to be answering all my=20=

prayers. The only other alternative seemed to be to lower the stack. =20=

I was afraid to do that. I was scared I wouldn't get them level.

Let me know what you find.

Chris
