Astigmatism is the only "ism" I guess I'm really sure about at my age. 
Socialism/communism/onomatopoiïsm, whatever sounds good.

My thought was that no child left behind takes from the rich (read: 
talented/gifted) and gives to the poor to give the appearance of equality 
and therefore no reason for loss of self esteem.  That was the socialism I 
was thinking of.  Unfortunately, as we proved in my third grade class, 
those "isms" lead to the level field being at the lowest common denominator 
because the rich/talented/gifted will work less since they keep less of 
their gains/grades. Any "excess" goes to the laggards.

Hmmmmm... I, too, have pianos to abuse.
