This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Isn't Jason's site a great resource? My reading of Jorgensen is that he feels the preponderance of evidence tilts toward it being genuinely Handel's, though no proof exists. It is, as given by Jorgensen: A +0.00 G# -0.55 G +1.72 F# -2.58 F +3.44 E +0.08 Eb +1.41 D -0.08 C# -2.50 C +4.46 B -0.78 Bb +2.42=09 Lawrence Becker, RPT Piano Technician College-Conservatory of Music University of Cincinnati -----Original Message----- From: caut-bounces@ptg.org [mailto:caut-bounces@ptg.org] On Behalf Of Jon Page Sent: Friday, December 02, 2005 8:31 AM To: caut@ptg.org Subject: [CAUT] Temperament:Harpsichord:Handel ? Authentic to the period? Check out the time line at Jason's site: http://www.rollingball.com/TemperamentsFrames.htm and you'll see that Werckmeister WT and Keller Meantone were likely prevalent during his time period. --=20 Regards, Jon Page _______________________________________________ caut list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
