This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Hello, I've been approached by a university about teaching a course under the = umbrella of their Continuining Education division that would deal with = basic and essential aspects of piano care. This would be called "What To = Do Until The Technician Arrives", or something along those lines and = would be primarily intended for piano majors. I know of one tech who did = this some years back at another school. It was a very successful = experience for all concerned.=20 I am looking for any input, including outlines or syllabi of similiar = courses, that any of you are doing. I am certainly NOT looking to put = any of us out of business!!! But, I'm sure we have all had the = uncomfortable experience of trying to solve an immediate situation or = problem and having to involve the pianist or piano responsible party in = the process. And, if nothing else is gained, at least we can educate = about what NOT to do.=20 If any of you would care to share with me privately, please just email = me at tunerdude@comcast.net. Here's hoping that everybody on this list is finding that the air = conditioning WAS left on this summer and that there are NOT huge pitch = corrections needed right all the bat this year!!
