I envy those of you who have established a solid private clientele that

That's so sad, and I hope it isn't the norm at most schools.  While we
have some colorful people, I'd have to say that our faculty is a very
collegial group easy to work with and pleasant.  I can't think of anyone
with whom I have not had a pleasant chat periodically.  I'd like to
think this is common at other schools but perhaps it is not.
