Yes..in the late 60s and throught the 70s...decoupage coats were the rage!
A base coat of yellow, 2nd coat of brown, 3rd coat of  green. It crinkled
and looked 'like a art case anteek'.
Seriously ugly!..Nothing done to the interior!
