Value of an old steinway vertical

Ed, sounds like a 'car wash' deal to me.

I have a the same vintage in my shop right now that I am rebuilding for 
me..no, I haven't gotten to the block yet, but I will say this: She 
still sings with the old wire on it.

The block is not an option for me..it will be replaced..as a matter of 
fact, the only thing that will probably remain 'original' on it is the 
board and the plate.

..and yes, they were ebony.
