Frederick Drasche

JUNE 18, 1906 -- JULY 21, 2003

HOLLY HILL -- Frederick H. Drasche, 97, of
Glen Way, a master piano builder for
Steinway & Sons, died Monday at Halifax
Medical Center, Daytona Beach.

Born on Long Island, N.Y., Mr. Drasche moved
here in 1976 from St. Albans, N.Y. He
worked for the piano builders from 1922 to
1976 and then served as an advisor,
receiving a 75-year service pin. He was a
member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ormond
Beach and the Piano Technicians Guild, for
which he received the Golden Hammer
Award. He enjoyed music and travel.

Survivors include two nephews, Allen Wild,
Reston, Va., and Raymond Drasche,
Hicksville, N.Y., who provided for his care.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace
Lutheran Church, 338 Ocean Shore Blvd.,
Ormond Beach, FL 32176. Woodward,
Ormond Beach, is in charge
