Steinway Parts Delays?

Best is the Yamaha felt, sold in strips, the C3 series and the CFIII
series work well depending of the miodel, the most difficult part is
to have the good reference part number.

Loureux damper felt is noisy (too hard, I don't use it) Renner is good
but vertically oriented, not the same kind of feel.

Don't know the Tokiwa felt.

Indeed cutting is not hard, taking care before to marg one side with a
pen so the fiber saty in the same direction. Cutting blocks from
Spurlock are very useful to obtain a neat cut.
You'll have to glue strips of red backfelt, they are not sold with the
damper felt so look for it or order it separately (not too thin red
felt) the strips have to be cut on one side for the wire, it is easy
to do with scissors (or a punch if you feel it better)

Fish glue is very convenient for damper work.

Best to all.

If you are set on that type of felt, try calling Renner USA. They
definitely sell the felt in strips and may even sell a precut set.
You can
also use Tokiwa felt, precut in a set from Pianotek. Or just cut it
yourself from Laroux felt from Schaff. It's not that difficult or
time
consuming.
