Avery,

I agree that thinning the bass stop block is the way to solve this not
uncommon problem. Be sure to sight down through the strings and check the
underlever spacing on the backs of the keys. As your action moves to the
bass, you do not want to create problems for yourself at the rear key end.
As they say, ask me how I know...
