Hi John.  I had the same problem here and I took a small punch to the hinge
it self to tighten it on its hinge pin.  This was a year and ahalf ago and
it is still fine.  I kept checking it as I was punching so I wouldn't get it
so tight that is was a problem to fold down when opened
