Dear List, I was struck by Mary's response to Newton Smith's death. When my son and I checked my email on Friday night and saw the subject headers we both looked at each other and said, oh no -- both of us remembered how very kind Newton was in responding to a panicked email from me to the pianotech list after my first string-breaking experience in a home. And wouldn't you know it, on Saturday morning another string popped (the first in a long time), I began to feel anxious, and then the thought came to me, you know how to do this. Newton told you what to do. I am very grateful to have had his teaching. Dorrie Bell Newton, MA Original Message: ----------------- From: MarySmith@mail.utexas.edu (Mary C. It is the best way I know to honor a person's memory and legacy... _______________________________________________ caut list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .
