Subject: Roger W. Update

Dear Family & Friends,

Just wanted to update everyone. Roger is back in St Francis. We were in
Michigan this last weekend and he started having a problem with his right
leg and foot. We came back to the hospital Sunday and they admitted him.
The leg and foot are extremely red, swollen and painful. He is getting
morphine for the pain. The Drs say it is the leukemia. We were afraid it
was a blood clot or infection. Since it is the leukemia it will not delay
the transplant process.

We got the word that the donor they are hoping to use is almost a perfect
match. Only one factor that does not match, and it is not a factor that is
considered important. This donor was from the first search in November and
is not the one that they went with for the first transplant. They now are
trying to contact to make sure the donor is still alive and well and willing
to be a donor. This part is a little tough on the nerves.

We have been advised that Roger will not be released until after the
transplant process is over. So he is looking at 2-3 months at this point,
if all goes well.

Will keep you updated as best I can.

Love to all,
MJ
