CTE-Master Tuning

Hi Avery,

In my experience as a CTE, I've never encountered the problem you are
describing. But, I would say definitely you need to retune that piano as a
new Master Tuning, i.e., with your RPT's corroborating your measurements,
particularly if the changes are in the temperament octave. There is very
little tolerance for difference between examinee and master tunings in the
temperament octave (1 cent in octaves 3 and 4 translates into 1 point off).
In the extremes, there is a wider tolerance.

All this discussion of drift of Accu-Tuner settings has me wondering,
though. Fred Sturm, are you out there? Do you have any thoughts on this?

Mary
