This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment I too bought the expensive steamer, but my friend Chris Gregg tells me = that he recently bought a much smaller and less costly version in a = vacuum cleaner store and that it works beautifully for removing key = bushings. Generally, I simply steamed the bushings out with an electric = kettle, laying three keys at a time over the spout for about twenty = seconds. If the bushings are stubborn, pre-wetting them with a wallpaper = remover solution can be helpful. The Rival Express pot is also very = good, because the thermostat control makes it quite versatile.I would = suggest using the Bill Spurlock sizing cauls immediately upon removal; = one will end up with remarkably uniform width mortices.
