The calculator figures  19.786 cents.   But this is only true for
440-435.   For say 220-215 it is 39.8 cnets , for  880-875 it is
9.865.    These are all 5 bps differences.  Its because cents is only
a measure of interval size and  220-215 as an interval is larger than
440-435. ---ric

Each beat per second is roughly equal to 4 cents. Hence, 440 bps -
435 bps = 5 bps X 4 cents = 20 cents. Your offset was pretty close,
I'd say.
