Renner premium blue, regular or lite. Pre-voice as the tired old book recommends. Iron the crowns if you prefer a bright attack, or needling down from the same. Will provide the warm tone you're after, what's more, the voicing is easy to manage and lasts. Since it may go into a practice room, I'd like to try a set of hammers other than Yamaha in order to tone down the usual big bright Yamaha sound. Anyone have any suggestions?
