I've repinned quite a few sets of the old underlevers and haven't had any
particular problems. I didn't bother removing the old hide glue, as I found
it useful in repositioning the flanges when I reglued them. I do small
sections at a time, and use a spring clamp or C-clamp with a length of
hardwood to distribute the clamping force over several flanges at a time,
using hide glue.
