Take a 3/4" dowel about 5 inches long and taper the ends so they will
pass between sharps. Taper the ends back about two inches. Makes
punchings from hammer felt the same diameter as the dowel ends and glue
them on securely with CA glue. You can get some bicycle handle bar tape
or cushions at a bicycle shop, you can use new electrical tape, I do not
suggest duct tape, and wrap the middle of the tool to suit your hand.

The use of this tool varies according to your needs or comfort but I
found that a wrist action similar to using a claw hammer will give the
key a tremendous blow with very little physical impact.

You can get some elastic tape from a sewing supply house or cloth supply
house and glue on a piece that will go around your hand back and hold
the tool in the palm of your hand so you don't have to put it down when
you want to use your fingers.

Simple tool but can really save hands and fingers.
