When working with an action and trying to make it work,
there is are numerous ways to get results.

But when replacing parts and striving for specific parameters
then the method described earlier for capstan placement will
produce the minimum aftertouch, that is; resultant close proximity
of the jack to the knuckle at the end of the key stroke by
means of capstan location on the key. Determining capstan
angle minimizes friction with the whippen.

For the jack to be buried into the stop felt at the end of the repetition
lever requires the fly to come in contact with the let off button too
soon producing excessive after touch. This early escapement usually
has associated affects of higher friction and /or high leverage resulting
in higher touchweights.
