If you are not interested in quality rebuilding techniques by world class instructors, do not, I repeat, do not proceed any further. Delete this message immediately, set your computer on fire and never, under any circumstances, attempt to rebuild a piano. Take your medication at the specified intervals and report to your therapist for your regular appointment. OTHERWISE.... Watch your March PTG Journal for details of the Thursday afternoon Rebuilding Skills Workshop. Did you know that attendance will be limited to 100? That there will be 15 instructors teaching such subjects as bridge layout, drilling, and notching? That you can actually layout the bridge, drill it and notch it with your own two hands? Or you could fit a pinblock to a plate, set the bearing on the plate, then string it with the assistance of some of the best rebuilders in the land? Or taper and tail grand hammers, then hang and shape them? This is a hands on workshop with power tools, hand tools, and wood dust every where. Repair a pinblock, analyze a soundboard, repair cabinets and lyres, work with grand dampers, or vertical actions. What is the catch you ask? Did I mention that attendance was limited to the first 100 to pre-register? Are you willing to invest $25 in your future as a piano rebuilder? Or do you just want to learn new techniques so that you will be better equipped to deal with everday piano service? Either way, send your registration to the Home Office as soon as possible because registration is limited. You cannot afford to miss this opportunity to improve your skills. Every dollar you invest in your education is an investment in the future success of your business. Invest in yourself today!
