Ron, Replacing the rail entirely is to my way of thinking the fastest and most effective way to deal with this problem. Once you figure out how to do it, it becomes part of your repetoire for rebuilding actions. The rails, if I remember correctly are about $80. You have to remove all the action parts to unsoder and resoder. I remember being reluctant to do this operation but after I did the first one I realized it was one of those things where it appears real difficult but in retrospect is quite easy.
