Hi John,

In addition to our Steinway inventory, we have several older Yamaha C3
grands in various practice rooms around the school. In general, they have
held up very well, in spite of very heavy use. We have replaced hammers,
shanks & flanges in most of them by now but all their other parts are
original and still in very good condition. I think that they lack the tonal
qualities of a Steinway, but they are very good, dependable pianos in their
own right and the students play them all the time. I highly recommend them.

If money were no object (fat chance of that ever happening), I would have
all Steinways. However, Yamaha grands are an acceptable substitute, in my
opinion.

Regards,

Tom
