fussy buzzes

OK FOLKS 
	I am putting my foot down, or I am putting my foot in it. 
	My theory is that these "fuzzy buzzes" come from attempts at "leveling
strings". All I ask to begin with is, "have the strings been leveled on
this instrument"  If the answer is "no" please reply.
