concert grand longevity

Any larger or longer structure is much more flexable than a small
structure.  I have observed effects in 9' pianos and have wondered the
same thing.  

Big Masons seem to retain their tone well, but I have only seen three 9'
Masons and two needed new hammers wo were harder to assess.

I would be very interested in the observations of this group.
