Newton, In a perfect world, the hammer makers would make ideal hammers, and consumers would want slightly dull hammers and break them in by playing. But in our instant gratification society that is not the case. Baldwin at long last has solved the problem by changing to Renner hammers that are being made to spec. and as such this over jucing has been stopped. Steinway is also guilty of over juicing with this material, try getting a set of hammers from them under warranty.
