David - There seem to be a great number of variables, even within the narrowed sampling of this list. The process would probably be different for a state institution than a private one. It might help to know a little more about the nature of your institution, the role of music there, the number of instruments you service, the administrative structure within which you operate, and whether you have made any attempts to address this question to them. I actually tried browsing the school's website, but was unable to bring up any information about the music school. I have tended to receive some percentage increase yearly, usually a different percentage each time. I'm not sure how it is determined, and as far as it relates to inflation, I will have to go back to some postings that appeared on pianotech a while ago (I think I have them saved somewhere) to determine whether I have enjoyed any real increase. I'll let you know. At 09:52 AM 7/2/97 -0500, you wrote: >I'm curious what (if any) provision you have at your school/university for >anything other than CPI driven adjustments to your salary.
